The Mind Vs. The Body

Let's talk about the mind vs. the body as it relates to my workout the other day.

My body is loving these workouts that I do. First thing in the morning when I get up.

They last about 10-20 minutes and there is a variety of different exercises.

The other day while I was working out, my brain was freaking out. I was noticing my thoughts going to "how long is this workout going to be" (it was only 20 minutes) ... then it started saying "OH MY GOSH ... ARE YOU KIDDING ME".

But my body ... my body was loving it.

I'm getting stronger. I'm pushing myself. I am also able to hold the exercises for the whole count of whatever the time frame is.

But my mind ... 🤯.

By being in my body, I could hear my mind talking me out of doing this.

How many times does that happen to you?

How many times do you stop what our body wants you to do when your mind is saying NO?

That is why it is so important that you start to cultivate this body connection.

Your mind is there to support you and to keep you safe.

Sometimes it doesn't allow you to stretch past what you want to do because you probably have never been there before or if you have - something may have happened that maybe doesn't feel good.

So, the importance of really tuning into your body, listening to your body and trusting your body is where you begin to feel better in your body.

That trust and body connection is like the key to everything.
